ParticipantHello, thanks for looking.
I have a Hotpoint Aquarius wdal 9640guk washer dryer.
When attempting a wash cycle the machine stops flashes all it’s button lights and the lower 4 cycle lights (door lock, end, drying and spin lights) stay on constantly and the machine fills with water. I’ve let it get as far as half way full before and assume it will keep filling if given half the chance. I have checked the drainage pump, drum to pump pipe, pump to outlet pipe and the pressure switch pipe. All seem fine and unobstructed. I’ve also checked all connections and they are fine too.
Any help is greatly appreciated
Thanks again

That error code is supposed to be F15 which again is ‘supposed’ to be a no drying, possible dryer relay fault.
One place to check for the overfill fill is the thin rubber tube from the drum to pressure switch. Examine it very closely at the point where it is clipped to the outer drum, it often chafes through here and only needs a very tiny pin hole to cause overfill.

Hello, and thank you for the reply.
I’ve just checked the pressure switch pipe. I had it off completely and it’s in good condition.
One thing i have remembered whilst knee deep in this thing is that when i first opened it up to check. The lead to the blower was loose. Not unplugged but not plugged either. I remember hoping that that was the problem but alas no joy.
Still it seems strange to me that it fills..?
Again thank you for taking the time to help.
Cheers

Have you blown down the pipe into the drum ( you should not blow into the pressure switch) The bottom end of the pipe and the small chamber it attaches to can become blocked with gunge. Sadly as it has a sealed drum it is almost impossible to clean properly.
The F15 fault relates to a relay on the main pcb in the base but is nothing to do with overfilling AFAIK.

Hi there, you wouldn’t happen to know which relay? There should be an image attached.
Also i hear a bubbling sound when blowing down the pressure switch tube. I assume that means it’s unblocked?July 6, 2017 at 12:55 pm #448712iadom

Bubbling sound is good. Don’t know which relay unfortunately, pressure switch could also be faulty.
