    Hi,

My Hotpoint tumble dryer has come up with an “F07” error code. All five leds below the digital display flash and the display says “F07”.
A little research on here and elsewhere on the web has suggested a lower heater failure. I’ve replaced the heater and thermostats as they’re a “one-piece” item, but the problem remains.
I’m guessing there might be a problem with the PCB that it all plugs into, but I don’t want to try and replace that too and it still not solve the problem.
    Any tips muchly appreciated.
    Thanks.

Re: Hotpoint TDC980 F07 error code

Has this dryer had the fire safety modifications done?

PS you need to check that model number as well, no such model AFAIK?

Sorry, I got my Cs and Ds the wrong way round!
No, it’s never had any work done on it. We don’t use it an awful lot but when it’s on high heat, or bed & bath mode, we get this fault, but not on low heat modes.

Then you should not be using it at all until you have checked it on the Hotpoint website. The current official advice from Hotpoint, fire services and trading standards is to unplug and contact Hotpoint.

You can find a link by googling Hotpoint dryer fires. You will need correct model number and full serial number to register.

Just checked it on the Hotpoint website and it says no action is necessary.
Anyway, back to the point in question: Any tips?

Does yours have a green dot sticker on it, if not then you need to check again, I have just checked several different serial numbers for that model and they are all part of the safety recall.

What exactly is your serial number?
