Hope you can help, this machine will fill to level with nothing in and work ok but when you put dry load in it fills to level and the water is absorbed into the washing and the level drops and machine fills again to level it does this 3 or 4 times and then aborts flashers 8 time click round it goes
then I reset it and it fills up to level on does to programme ok just does not like having dry washing in it I’ve done all the normal stuff even removed eco ball I’m verging on pressure switch just wonderd if anyone had come across this fault before
thanks

8 is supposed to be heater relay fault on PCB…… Dry joint on board? Broken (internally) wiring to heater is another fun one.

Its just funny how it works ok with nothing in it or wet washing checked pressure tube chamber and hose for holes etc if I let the machine fill up with pressure tube pipe off and blow into the switch it will go ok but if you blow a bit harder the pump comes in and it aborts my logic is the first level turns valve off and the next is anti flood so I thought the gap between the first and anti flood levels are to close I fitted a board and thermistor too
I wont let the bloody thing beat me 😥 I’ll check wires again
thought someone may have had same faultmark

Yep, that’s the culprit I expect 😉
A known problem with these, from memory as I haven’t touched one for a while, the PS takes the current of the heater through it and knackers the contacts causing arcing etc and throws the PCB into turmoil.
Worth a go anyway as they are dead cheap.

Four tag p/sw IIRC – the extra tag is a flood protect. Dave’s right – they do cook.
