    Hi,

My cooker hood has stopped working, in that the light and fans no longer work when i switch them on.

The hood was installed when we moved into the house.

Could it just be, that the fuse has gone and needs replacing?

if so, any ideas where the fuse might be housed.

i’ve looked on the website for Gorenje and i think the model number might be WHC923E14XUK.

any help appreciated. also, please be aware i am very much a novice when it comes to DIY.

    Thanks in advance

Re: Gorenje Cooker hood not working

The only fuse will be where it is plugged into the mains, either hard wired or a plug top, there’s not any other fuse in them normally.

To get the correct model though on most cooker hoods the model and serial information will be on a small sticker on the inside of the hood.

If you remove the grease panel filter/s and look up inside the hood you should be able to see that reasonably easily on most all of them.

You might need a torch to see it and do be careful as there can be unfinished sharp edges on some models.

That’s the only place that you will get the actual model of the hood you own usually, instruction or handbooks are notoriously unreliable for this as they cover many models and all too often much will not be applicable to the actual model you have in regard to spare parts, filters etc.

Ditto websites, models change all the time.

    K.
