I have a Beko WDX8543130 combined Washer/dryer, it worked like a dream for 18 months and then suddenly broke. It has had low usage, only 2 people using it, rarely with the drying function.

Here’s a brief description of what happens when I set it on a regular washing cycle: the machine fills normally, there is no motion from the drum, it drains, then automatically switches off.

I assume there is a problem with motor or one of the sensors, so have I’ve checked the basics:
    Nothing blocking the filter
The belt is in perfect condition
The motor is a prosmart inverter motor, it is brushless so wouldn’t no where to start looking if it did have a fault.

Does anyone have experience with this issue and know what could be causing it or know how I can diagnose the problem by setting up the self diagnostic test?

Ive already spent hours research issues and attempting to find the problem,
so if you think it would be easier to replace than to fix then so be it, I ould be such a shame 🙁

Yep, have had this problem with this particular appliance, it could be the motor but that has a 10 year warranty as far as I know, it could be the ProSmart invertor board or control board. I’d advise you to get an engineer to test the components mentioned to establish which is giving the problem.
On the ones i’ve worked its been the inverter board that was faulty.

    Hello,

Our Beko WDX8543130W has just developed this exact problem and we’re equally stumped. Could you tell me what it was in the end?

    Many thanks.

Unfortunately as Seamy has said above, you would be better off calling an engineer to look at the machine. You could maybe try the Forum engineer search facility to find a good local engineer.

As above, its most likely the motor Inverter P.C.B that is faulty, but its best that you get an Engineer to look at it & give quotation.
    :plug: :lesson:
Just a warning to anyone who doesn’t know, Inverter boards need to be handled carefully, the can give an Electric Shock to handler long after the power has been switched off at the mains.
