    Re; Bosch Dishwasher SGS43C12GB/08 8410 05258

We are after the Motor for this, they say its part number 00490982 but its physically different and Bosch tech not helping at all, they just confirm the the part number every time and no other information given

Have you come across this and can you help ?

PLEASE SEE PHOTO ATTACHED, THE ORIGINAL MOTOR ON RIGHT HAND SIDE

Re: BOSCH DISHWASHER WASH PUMP QUERY

I’ve not come across one, but then again my customers would never stump up the cost of replacing it. 😉

The photo shows both motors on differing sides so it’s harder to compare from that. I would imagine the pump chamber will swap over OK and the 3 motor terminals (hopefully?) are numbered the same for a one on one swap.

You are correct on both counts though. The part number is correct and there is no mod sheet so you should be OK in swapping it over.

What is wrong with the old motor anyway? If it’s just a seized front bearing? That can usually be replaced easily enough. There are signs of corrosion on the housing so the impeller kit will need replacing too.

    HTH? 😀

They seem to have replaced the black component (inductor?) on the old motor with the more conventional capacitor attached to the new motor, so presumably the black component on the old motor is redundant and the wire will need to connect to the capacitor or one of the motor terminals instead?
