    Anyone know what the update is about? Dyson sent me a letter asking me to allow an engineer to carry out a “software” update which of course will give me better features.

    Normally these ” updates ” are on a chargeable basis. Could be worth a phone call to Dyson first 😉

    Just had the upgrade done and I’m very impressed. Service was great. I even got an unexpected courtesy call in the morning advising of a 2 hour window when he would be arriving.

    Apart from new software, they replaced the interlock the soap dispenser tray and even a small plastic part of the filter which had been improved. I got the impression that some of these updates are not critical save-our-skin updates but genuine improvements that Dyson preferred to fit for customer satisfaction.
