The one big question for me is when do you decide to go out on your own and work for yourself I have been doing repairs for 10 years now and really don’t know how many jobs a week I could earn a wage off any advice from anyone who has gone out on there own ❓ ❓ ❓

Martin is right. I raised a family on this work but today I’m just about hanging in until retirement. If you try going alone make sure you do your research a tip might be to get hold of an old copy of yellow pages if you can and check the amount of adverts then as opposed to now online.
    good luck anyway

If you are in a city you can get a lot of work from estate/letting agents, and build up a relationship with them, always insist they give you tenants phone number and you book appointment.
it means you have to wait up to 2 months for payments
So if you can survive 60days it’s worth it.
I always charge £10 more then a customer who pays me at point of repair.
