I misunderstood directions for how to check the pump on a Siemens dishwasher and accidentally unlocked the part circled in the attachment. It subsequently fell backwards into the main dishwasher housing – I was expecting it to pop out forwards, not fall in and out of access range.

Does anyone know if this is a simple fix for a reasonably competant DIYer, or is this going to be a call out?

It’s a Siemens iQ100 dishwasher. I can’t find a parts diagram featuring this part – if anyone has one that might be a help. It looks like it probably involves pulling the whole thing out and following the basic instructions for replacing the pump to get to that area. Possibly removing the door and all that malarchy. Any tips before I ‘go in’ much appreciated!

That’s the Aqua Sensor then that you’ve force twisted it and it’s fallen into the base tray. The photo you gave shows it before it fell, correct?

The iQ100 covers a number of variants so the full ENr number (etched into the top of the stainless door panel) will be required to know how best to access it. But yes on those beasts access ain’t the greatest. Time to drag the machine out and remove the RH side panel.

To access the pump the front bottom plinth needs to come off.
