She who must be obeyed has instructed me to source a toaster to replace the piece of **** that has a mind of it’s own when it comes to reliable browning of bread.

She requires no more than a two slicer given due to a medical condition I no longer can eat solid foods. It would be useful if the slots were wide enough to take a toastie, two slices of bread and filling inside a bag and perhaps have a warming facility for rolls ETC.
So far I have these on my shortlist.

You either keep buying the lesser models and replace regularly or you buy the Dualit as it is the only toaster that can be repaired and will last and last longer than half a dozen of the cheaper variants currently being offered.

In that case you will be no better off than you are now.

Sadly not that range is there to compete with all the other disposable tat that’s out there.

Okay I think your wife is worth every penny of this best deal on the best toaster a snip at £102.90

If it’s out of your price range, even though you can’t guarantee it’ll be long-lasting, just go with one of those which you think is best. Dualits are fairly reliable, so just go for it if that’s your budget.

Re: Recommend me a toaster please

I think the consensus accross the various forums is that you cannot guarantee a nicely browned bread on both side with any toaster, be it from a cheapo or an expensive one, but the rubbish she has had from the supermarkets over the years means I might pay a few more quid for a toaster.
But as it does not need to be all singing all dancing then spending any more than £30/£50 would be a waste.
i will look for one that has reasonable reviews but does not cost silly money.
But thanks all for your help.
