ParticipantWhen I purchased my indesit d63 dishwaser 2 years ago, I knew that I should of paid extra for a bosch, but luckily, until now I have not experienced any probelms….
Now whenever I turn the dishwasher on, the lights come on and nothing happens apart from that inside the dishwasher, it starts to get warm?!
Does anyone have any ideas as to what my problem could be and a poss solution? I’ve been told its my motor?!
Thanks
Shaun

What sort of nothing happens? Nothing at all, fill no circulation? No fill but motor running? Certainly if the heater comes on it thinks it has water inside…..
Bit more info please.

Hi
I would imagine either wash pump is jammed or more likely the water seal of the motor has failed and seized the pump or start capacitor on side of motor failed.
In any case if you are to venture (personally I would cut my losses and go bosch) always disconnect from mains :zap:Greg

Hi Dudes
My Niece Has a D63 with a faulty drain pump. she had a guy look at it and he said it wasnt worth fixing as the motor wasnt spinning and would not be economical to repair it, Ok that maybe good advice but this machine has hardly been used (6 months use tops), I took a look at it myself and tested the drain pump motor, yep it was knackered indeed it was spinning eraticlly backwards & forwards. My Question is: Is it worth rapiaring the dishwasher if I Buy the part and fit it myself. ?
I have searched the internet for a pump but there like rockin horse turds, cant find em anywhere. any suggestions guys ?

Ok, assuming diagnosis is correct, drain pump is p/no C00090533, about £20 plus the dreaded VAT IIRC – an email to spares@ukwhitegoods.com will get one promptly for you.
Two things to consider:
Firstly, to fit the pump, all the panels have to come off – lid, sides, kick boards, cheek pieces – the lot. A masterpiece of designThen, you can get the undertray off………
Secondly, seeing as this is a Public Forum, let’s be polite and say that these are not the best quality appliances, do you really want to start spending on it at this early stage of its career?
Needless to say, if you are going further into the machine, pull the plug first :plug:

Thanks for the speedy reply Penguin45. I got to the pump ok, took the thing of and put a lead directly to it to test it. Thanks for the part info, I suppose its worth fixing for under £25 🙄 , if other things start going wrong after that then I will advise her to get a better quality built one 🙂 .
Cheers
