Is it me or is anyone else finding that 4 out of every 5 F21 errors are no longer resetting? Going back 5 years or so, 9 out of every 10 F21s would reset. These days often the F21 error won’t reset. Any thoughts? (Also, as an aside, on the modern induction motor ecosilence models, why does the motor do a series of minute agitations after the door locks but before it starts to fill?)

never had a problem resetting machines Yet ! but i have found you need to be slow and methodical about the way you do it. rush it and it fails every time
would assume the agitation was a way of assessing the load weight

Hi Dave, neither did I before. Occasionally, as I said, probably 1 in 10 wouldn’t (especially if it tripped when the worn brushes arced) but not normally a problem. Of late many not resetting even after spending 10 minutes carefully going through the sequence????
I thought the same about weight sensing but the movement seems to small??
Anyone else have any thoughts?

Don’t forget the ‘unplug motor, reset, plug back in,reset’ option.

If reset is carried out more than 5 times before brushes are replaced then reset must be carried out 3 times after brush change with a different set of finger prints, its in the manual. 😉 “Strange but actually true…..

Very true, I have never cleared one first time, had several that were real bar stewards,
To back up Tim’s observations I once had one that would not clear, had to leave it to get to my next call but showed the customer the reset procedure. She tried it a few hours later and it cleared at the second attempt. 🙁

Iadom, glad it’s not just me. I was showing a trainee how to do it once, I spent 15 minutes trying and it wouldn’t reset, he tries and it resets first time!
I like Bosch machines but sometimes ………………………..
