    Hi.

My folks’ Samsung RL52VPBTS Fridge Freezer went off while they were on holiday.

I have had a look at the circuit board on top and found the fuse (1 on the attached image) had blown. I put a new 2A fuse in it and turned it back on and there was a small flash from somewhere near it and the fuse blew again.

Not sure if its something obvious like replacing either the capacitor (3 on the attached image) or the noise filter (2 on the attached image) or its something out of my skill level.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Andy

    Hi

It’ll be either the ice solenoid or the light bulb.

    Thanks Bryan.

This one doesn’t have an ice maker and the interior light is a little board of LEDs. Could they still be the cause?

They have a repair engineer coming on Tuesday, does it sound like something they will be able to fix easily enough? Not sure its something I can go much further with.

    Thanks
