Hi, I bought a 2nd hand oven and after installation, find that all the rings have a full surface of lit elements, except for the halogen ring that has only the outer ring that lights up. As can be seen in the image, there appears to be a middle part of the element that does not light up.

Is this a normal function? I cannot find a manual online to this cooker.

    Model is New World 60ECHDGm

    Many thanks

the middle part is not halogen so only glows red so you wont see it in the glare of the halogen lamp

Or the traditional centre element has had it but the halogen is still okay and if that’s the case I very much doubt you’ll get replacement for it, most halogen zones are obsolete, I’ve not seen one available for years.

ooh, I hope not. Have to see how it functions, not used it yet. But thanks for the advice
