    Hi there,

I have a Beko DCU 8230 and I do not think I am getting any heat or perhaps just low heat.

I have cleaned through all the filter area to the front and the pull-out condenser – but have the same issue.

On the rear I have removed the cover panel to show the Heater – I have 2 sets of terminals on the heater one set has the red reset button which is down.

If I use a multimeter I get no continuity to one set of terminals and across the red trip button terminals, I get 0.6.

Does this signify the heater is faulty? If not can anyone suggest how I can diagnose the issue further please?

    Thanks

You should have full continuity through the resettable TOC the other however could be a thermistor (aka electronic thermostat) its resistance measure in Kohms.

Thanks for your response so it seems the trip is ok.

On the other set I can get no reading of ohms so would you say this suggests a “break” in the element giving no reading. So the heater need to be replaced?

to get a reading on the other stat you would have to set your meter on a higher scale and expect to get reading in the thousands of ohms

    On a setting of 200k I get a reading of 23.1

Do you think this looks right or signifies a defective heater?

I have just given the dryer a thorough clean through and tested but found its definitely only working at a very low temperature. Would anyone have a suggestion on what I should check to diagnose the issue?
