    Might help someone.
This LG is a washer dryer in black.
Completely dead, no lights on the display, no nothing!
Power from plug to the suppessor`s pcb ( on the top r/h/side of the chassis looking from the front ) and through suppessor to pink connector block so suppessor is not the fault which can happen with this part. Using multi meter, set to buzzer, traced wires through loom ( now note: the wires both neutral and live go into separate bullet connector blocks buried in the loom and worse still the wires then change to a different colour-all part of the Korean sense of humour! ) to the pcboard at the base of the machine within the plastic rectangular box. Looking from the rear of the machine: to remove this module/box there is a hidden screw on the left that holds the pcb to the plastic white base due to the main bulk of the wires that enter it you`ll have trouble seeing it. Once unscrewed slide the box to the left and it will come away. To separate the two halves there is a second screw underneath at t`other end of the box. Then unclip.
On the machine I repaired the pcb looked perfect and power, via m/meter, reaches it. Note that both live and neutral go to different twinned terminal blocks of differing pcb blocks.
I bit the bullet on this one, brave or what(!), and bought a new pcb wired it in, prayed hard, and…..it now works just fine.
Note, these boards have potted components i.e. set in a resin for no other reasons to stop anyone replacing the any components – someone who designed this has been on a business management course!.
The machine has been tested very well including t/drying and is now back to its normal self.
Whilst you have the lid off it might be a good time when testing after the repair to make sure the water circulating jet is not blocked- the orange thing at 12 o/clock top of the door seal, as this one was blocked up solid. These get blocked up very easily, silly design.

Can I ask where you got the new board from. I have the exact same problem.

WOW discounts off Ebay. WOW discounts is part of Connect aka Partmaster aka 6 other known sites all the same folks. Wow discounts is their E-bay store where stuff gets flogged off cheaper.
part number EBR65873679 just type this number as a search and it should crop up they had about 10 in stock.. eBAY ITEM 122316124991 but that might have changed since. £90.98 INCL P&P as opposed to about £130. This pcb is for the large bottom pcb as per my post. Make sure you have checked out the suppessor pcb-the one at the top r/h/side first.

Best of luck hope it repairs your machine.

1totalshambles you are a star. I found and bought a board from uk whitegoods direct for just under £90 and fitted it after following your much needed removal advice. Nervously turned on and heard the disco so I am now very happy. All is well again. I bet its only a non japanese capacitor that was the problem. I might feel brave one day and swap them out as a project. Anyway thanks again.

Thanks, and thank heavens for that. Components. Tip of an iceberg. Look at one of the top range Bosch washer dryers at circ 700 quid where the printed circuit power board retail price is about £315 and all the relays are Chinese made same goes for a 217 quid priced Samsung pcb and if you looked at a Pro Action washing machine £160 from Argos you`d find the same pcb relays, just less of `em, with a pcb at 80 quid or often as clearance stock at 40 quid or less. And my point is? Well the obvious.

Had this washer/dryer for a number of years now and it’s been nothing but trouble.
I could probably strip it down and put it back together blindfolded I’ve done it that many times.

If the washer is dead and the electrical filter is ok then it’ll probably be the main pcb as already mentioned, if you can’t afford to replace and you’re handy with a soldering iron then I can pretty much guarantee it’s the component labelled HS3 on the board, it’s a ‘off line switcher’ that looks like a regulator, part number TOP246YN which can be bought for a couple of quid from most electronic component shops.

It’s a bugger to get to though as you have to cut a hole in the back of the enclosure where the component sits to desolder it as well as removing the silicon type resin that covers it top and bottom.
