ParticipantHi
I have an Aquarius FDAL 11010 dishwasher which has been a bit dinky for a while but has now stopped completely! It switches on ok but doest actually start a wash when the start button is pressed. I think there might be a blockage. I have taken out all the filters etc and tried bicarb/vinegar/hot water to shift it. No joy. How can I access underneath? I was hoping for a schematic drawing of some sort but I can’t find one. Do I take the side panel off or go in from underneath? My kitchen is very small so I want to know which way to go before I just randomly start dimantling it and getting frustrated!September 6, 2017 at 4:02 pm #450243Brendarran

You may not need to completely strip it down. how for through the cycle does it go? Does it switch on at all? does it drain and then fill when you start the cycle? Does it just stop when the wash should start? Is there any water in the machine when it stops? More information can help an engineer determine where you should be looking or what the issue may be.
You also need to have a minimum amount of technical and diagnostic skills yourself if you want to tackle a job on your own. Remember you are mixing water and electricity which is a lethal combination if it all goes wrong.September 6, 2017 at 4:22 pm #450244rbirkett78

It switches on and lights up as normal. When I press the start button nothing happens at all. This morning I switchedon’t it on and off a couple of times and then it started and got through the first part of a cycle. After four hours it hadn’t done much other than the first rinse so I switched it off and checked the filters, after taking them out I realised that there was still a lot of water in the drain so I scooped that out to see if there was a blockage I could clear bit no joy. I am anot electronic engineering so I have plenty of diagnostic skills and some technical knowledge so I am quite confident I just don’t want tor take the side off in cramped conditions when I should be going in through some hidden access panel in the front/back ?

When you say it starts up, does it drain first, then fill and then start to wash? When you came back to it after 4 hours was it still trying to rinse or had the program just stopped again? If it had just stopped then it might be worth checking the door switch is working correctly.
Remember to unplug the appliance before commencing any work on it.

When it started this morning it drained and filled all sounded normal so I left it went out came back two hours later and it was quiet I left it for a bit to see if it was actually doing something but it didn’t. I guess I can check the door switch in the morning.
