    The dryer is on a shelf, above the washer. I am planning to fit a drain kit and the tube will go down to ground level. Am I right in assuming that there will be no syphoning problems?

    No issue at all I shouldn’t think. Check with your user manual or, if you can’t lay hands on it, give us the model ( PNc) number and we can look it up for you. 😀
