Hi guys and thanks for having such a great forum for me to turn to.

Our beco DCU 8230 recently started taking a long long time to dry clothes. Hours and hours and hours but still the clothes weren’t dry.

I checked that the sensor wasn’t clogged with dry fluff which could fool the machine into thinking the clothes were dry which would then make it turn off. But the sensor was clean and fluff-free.

It gets very warm but never fully hot and the water tank doesn’t fill up.

Could it be the heater element? What can I do to find the fault!

    Many thanks 🙂

I’ve just checked and it’s full of soggy crud.
I’ll clean that and see if it helps
    Thanks 🙂

you can pour water through it, use a hose just give it a good shake before you put it back

I use a piece of wire coat hanger to loosen fluff then pour water through it

    Thanks Dave
I used the shower head and a 30cm ruler to help dislodge the crud.
I bet that will fix it, will test it tomorrow
    Cheers Dave!!
    🙂
