    Hope you can help.

I have a Zanussi Washer Dryer ZWT 71401 WA, two years old.

Was working perfectly until a few days ago.

The dryer seems to stop after around 5 minutes… then after another 5 minutes will continue its drying cycle.

I have cleaned the pump at the base of the appliance, and also drained the emergency emptying hose – quite a bit of water drained out.

I have no error codes and the appliance seems find, save for a rumbling noise when it is drying (it didn’t make this noise until a few days ago). The clothes are coming out dry.

Any ideas and thank you in advance.

I’d look at water intake valve hasn’t gone open circuit or that the dryer heater hasn’t gone low to earth.

The rumbling noise is either the dryer’s blower fan OR some small object rattling against the drain pump impeller.

    Really appreciate your quick responses.

I tried a full wash, which was fine, and then dried the clothes, during which the dryer worked perfectly, and so it seems to have righted itself.

    Strange.
