ParticipantA friend has asked what Washer dryer I would you recommend, so under £500 And between £500 and £700, a 8kl/5kl is good split
What we repair now has been replaced with a newer models
so we Don’t repair currant models until they have a been around a few years.saying that most newer models are 70{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} the same as the previous model.
I was going to recommend a Samsung but on John Lewis feed back their seems to be a problem with PCB boards.
Also I won’t a washer/dryer which is not a nightmare to work on
Like the early Bosch W/D where the dryer drum bracket would break away.
I normally recommend Bosch washing machines and Zanussi washer/dryers.September 24, 2017 at 12:25 pm #450619electrofix

Unless you have some to sell it’s best not to recommend anything. That way when it goes belly up your good reputation is not compromised. Let’s face it, they are all pretty shyte and unless you live in a tiny flat or bedsit, why buy one?

I think any advice is better then none, when they buy a Bush
And you would recommend a Bosch. I think customers appreciate it. We can advise about brands but not always which models.
We all have some idea what’s rubbish and what’s OKSeptember 24, 2017 at 3:37 pm #450622stratfordgirl

Recent Electrolux group washer dryers suffer from poor quality blowers, which typically become noisy and seize after 18 months with regular use. Other than that, I’d second Martin’s comment. Most are prone to blocking up with fluff after only a couple of years of family use. Not a good investment for anyone doing more than a couple of cycles a week.
