ModeratorMy daughters ISE 10 dryer may need replacing, any thoughts on the best, non Miele condenser dryer ATM.
Will not be Hotpoint, Hoover, Beko, White Knight for starters. Still getting customers complaining of single direction Bosch rolling sheets into a ball, are they still one direction only?
Zanussi always seemed decent but not had any dealings with their recent output.Jim.

Thanks Tim, still a uni directional tumble though, I have a few customers and one in particular that complains of larger loads of sheets rolling into a bundle unless she stops it half way through and redistributes the laundry?
A while back one of the trade members admitted that his own Bosch dryer did this on the odd occasional well.

Going to have a look at the ISE next week, hopefully I can drag it back from the dead. If not I will point her towards the Bosch. π

Zanussi dryers a close second to Bosch on durability. Only common issue I’ve come across is capacitor fade. Easier to work on than Bosch.

I do concur with that. π

Interesting point about reverse tumble dryers, I don’t know of any that do TBH. My Bosch tumble dryer is a pain in the ar&e when it comes to drying a double duvet cover. Just puts it in knots and renders it impossible to dry. Aside from duvet covers everything else dries fine.
ISE tumble dryers last forever (apparently) so I’m sure it’s just a minor fault Jim. Was she trying to dry a double duvet cover by any chance?

ISE dryer is apparently making a loud noise. I have had to strip and clean the fan and condenser assembly several times over the years as well.
My 17 year old Hotpoint TL 61 reverses and is still running perfectly.

I would stay clear of the Zanussi types as control module (suddenly going dead) seem to be quite common.

Panic over, for now at least.
Front fan totally choked (again) causing noise and F2 error code.
Not that many households possess a T10 torx screwdriver which is needed to access the fan on these. I did buy her one a couple of years ago but that appears to have been ‘mislaid’ :rotfl:
