10pm call from a friend last night – no kids uniform and a dead WM.I squeezed a very quick visit in between all my booked jobs, mot and veh repairs..phew
Just dead. Supply ok, power in ok and mains at the board!
Insulation test ok but it is electronic and I didn’t test individual componentsAs with most AEG/Lux stuff I find getting the board off is very time consuming – something I didn’t have much of.
Before I go in the morning and squeeze another visit in get the main board out. Are there anyIdiosyncrasies with these machines like the neutral going through the pump of a wash valve??
Any other polite suggestions also welcome.. The wrong side of £100 for a board it doesn’t bode well.

Probably find that the fusible resister on the board is open circuit. assuming that that is the case then replace the SMPS chip (from memory I think LNK364) and the resister and it will be good to go again.

Thanks Jem, I’ll be on to it in the morning. I’ll update accordingly.

Not good news. An electronics engineer who repairs boards for me replaced a SMPS chip that had a crack in it, a resister and another component that wasn’t too healty either.
Still power to the boards, power down to the power/motor board and door lock but still nothing…
Other than trying a programmed main board…I’m a bit stuffed. Open to suggestions/advice – thanks

Can you post some board photos please – from memory some boards have a bead inductor which may need changing.

I can never get my images to show..sorry. Yes the other component was an inductor.
You can see it on the picture. Not sure which resister it was and the chip is on the other side of the board.
