Smeg DF4SS heating problem

Hi there

I have a Smeg DF4SS which has just developed a heating problem. I displays error code 3 at the end of a cycle and although the wash happens, the water is not heated and the dishes are not dried.

I heard a “pop” when the problem happened and the circuit breaker to the machine cut out. However on resetting the circuit breaker the machine continued its cycle and displayed the error at the end.

I am hoping this means that the thermal fuse has blown rather than the element. But I cannot find the thermal fuse – it does not seem to be in the door as in other models. Is anyone able to provide any pointers?
