candy GV1610THW3W-80 bearings and spider no play weights tight but noisy with load on spin. although the suspension looks ok I’m leaning to this as a cause. has anyone had any issues with these before? or is it a case of try it and see?

I’ve seen wear in the top pivot pins before. Knocked badly. Swapped for new pins – all sorted. This also works when the tub pivot holes are worn. The sheet metal suspension units can bind when worn causing a knock; take off one end and push / pull test for resistance.
On Candy / Hoover machines check the drum pulley – the “D” on the drum shaft can round out the centre hole so they can clonk; sometimes they are quite loose, even had the belt fall off as the pulley bolt was so loose.

    Hope that helps!

    Steve.
