Bosch Dishwasher SHV55MO3GB/79

Hi everyone I’m new here.
Ok so last night I filled the dishwasher as per normal put in the tap switched it on on the internal on/off switch kept it on the same wash cycle so I just closed the door. A few hour later the wife came upstairs and had a right ole one two with me for not turning the dishwasher on….
Thought I was going nuts..

So under her command I went to investigate and low and behold I was right – however when I opened the door all the items were wet, so the machine had been running at some point over the last few hours. However there was no lights on (as the model has a small Red LED kit black square which, when on let’s you know how long the program runs for and how much time is left on the program till it’s finished.)
I pushed the on/off button like a moron about 20 times
(as if that’ll do anything )
I left it till this morning before work to look at it.
It’s an integrated dishwasher style so I had to lower it to remove from under the worktop.
I drained the machine of all water checked the pump clear and spinning freely I took off the side panel and operated the anti flood float switch. This worked so there is definitely power getting in there somewhere. But still nothing at the switches.
I’ve tried resetting by holding down the two reset buttons- nothing.
I did notice when the machine is turned on at the switch that I can hear a slight humming noise coming from the switches area this stays on even when the door is open.
I’m loosing the plot here as my wife has demanded me to do the dishes an till this appliance if fixed.
