I have been handed a Sebo Automatic x4.1 dated on main pcb 2002 which has developed a fault with flashing LED’s low red and can just about hear a clicking sound of a relay? Motor sometimes starts up when first turned on then stops in a few seconds. If customer flicks the on/off switch then it will sometimes start up again for a few seconds.
It has new bag, internal filter, new external filter and all airways clear, brushes on motor look like new in fact for the age I suspect it has not been used very much. Suspicious.
Reed relay by hinge clicks in and out when the permanent magnet slides by nothing fried on both pcb’s. I don’t know if the gearbox/ DC motor for raising the front wheel up or down could stop the running of this Sebo or if it is the main microprocessor board on top is faulty.
Any body serviced these German vacuum cleaners as the earlier Felix ones seemed bullet proof without the electronics now thrown on board?
