Cooker clock bypass

Hi there I have a hottpoint inbuilt oven and the clock needs resetting but I can’t get the buttons to work – just keeps flashing so oven won’t come on as it needs the clock on to work… Is there any way I can just take the clock off and oven will come on or do I need a new clock? Thanks
