Leaking Miele 665

The lower flood tray on my dishwasher is flooding in the fill cycle.

I have removed the front Inspection cover below the compartment.
The lower tray is full of water
Water is coming from an open ended vertical white pipe on the far left hand side at the front. It looks like a funnel spout draining into the lower overflow tray.

I am not sure what this pipe is and assume it is an overflow.

is it a fault with
a) Fill valve
b) pressure sensor — if it has one
c) controller.

Any Ideas ?? All help appreciated
