Just wondering if anyone else experiencing a spate of the latch pins on the door slipping out of place?

Not a bad job unscrewing the door and shoving the pin back in place but there’s nothing preventing the pin from slipping out and almost certain to work it’s way out in future.

Think I’ve done about 4 or 5 of them in last few weeks and no doubt it’ll be my fault if/when same problem happens again.

I used to fit a small screw on the old indesit’s with similar problem, to prevent latch pin from slipping out.

Yep, even on new machines I put in a couple of weeks ago.
I have put a small screw in as you described but not on the brand new machines….

    Thanks for replies.
Tim, that must be a right PITA having to sort that under warranty?
Only part no I can find is door catch pack 49007928 but think that is the same length latch pin?

Thanks for that kai, I can’t seem to find the longer pin 43018586 listed as a spare part with any supplier or on Hoover website.

Perhaps the door catch pack 49007928 includes the longer pin?

Sorry to drag this out but still searching for the elusive long version 80mm (instead of 67mm) latch pin.

I can confirm that part no. 49007928, listed as door catch pack contains the original 67mm latch pin and not the longer version unfortunately 😥
