I am repairing a John Lewis washer (Zanussi I guess) JLWM 1203 (PNC 914521851/01) that stops after a few seconds. The test pgm shows E31 plus 3 bleeps, and I assumed this is the pressure switch fault code (new electronic type). I have had success in the past just replacing the pressure switch. However in this case the replacement did not cure the fault.
Does E31 represent any other fault? (On the test pgm the inlet valves and pump all work, but there is no motor action at all which puzzled me.)

    Regards
    Mike

Do an insulation test on the element because if they are low they can cause this form of fault.

Can’t be that Jem as we all do a full insulation test before even attempting a repair. 😉
