Kenwood KDW12SS, my one has just developed a fault, the other day i realised that it had been running for about 5 hours so i stopped it mid cycle. Now i can’t get it to reset back to it’s initial stage, ie the buttons don’t work ( i’ve found that if i turn on the power while holding down the P button all the lights go on and i can get it to do various things by pressing the buttons, and i can push the buttons with a knife in this mode to get it to do things). I’m sure that the correct combination of button pushes will reset the machine – does anyone know how?

    Dan.

( i posted this on the end of another post then thought i’d better put it in it’s own topic)

Yep, I never got to the bottom of that one either unfortunately 🙁

A most obscure model that no-one seems to lay claim to, but I do know someone who may be able to offer some advice, I’ll email him in the morning 😉

Thanks, any help would be greatly appreciated.

I tried tipping it forward as i read in another thread in order to reset the machine but it just got water all over the floor (the door was closed though!)

Look forward to hearing from any of you soon.

    I’m still waiting for a reply 🙁

It’s almost certainly a Haier, in which case it may be the thermal cut-out for the heater has “tripped”.

You could try looking there if you’re planning on a DIY attempt at fixing it, pull the plug 1st though please 😀 :zap:

Other than that, when I get a reply I’ll post it, in the meantime, pretty much most engineers will have a look at this for you, if you pop your postcode up, I’ll be able to give you a name or two 😉

    GregHi,

I have had terrible poblems with the Kenwood KDW12ss. After only three weeks of use mine stopped working–all the buttons began flashing at once and it wouldn’t turn on. I had had a blocked sink earlier that day and wondered if the malfunction was something to do with that but my friend has the same model with the same problem and has now had to return it to the shop because even the Kenwood engineer couldn’t fix the problem! Will mine be going back too–or does anyone have any suggestions? 👿
