    Hi, I have a Hoover DYN9144dg-80 that gets to half speed but when it tries to go to higher speed it picks up speed and goes back to half speed in cycles (about every 5 secs), any thoughts?

    This is a dc machine have you checked the rectifier or earth leakage on heater may cause problem

    Changed bridge rectifier and all seems ok
