Have a problem with our 45cm dishwasher – activates the supply circuit breaker.
Been faultless since new but of the last couple of weeks when in the last part of its cycle it will trigger the earth leakage device.
I am thinking it might be temperature related as it does it’s midway pump and refill function ok, but at the end (when it’s hot) it seems either the pump or fill solonoid is causing the fault? Or maybe a mains capacitor?
About to start dismantling so any tips/guidance would be most welcome!

always difficult to find these sort of faults but before you strip it out try a different socket as I have had arcing sockets cause this sort of problem

Thanks for reply Dave, will give the socket suggestion a try.
When it has set the ELCB off upon resetting it, it will immediately trigger again and I could measure low resistance to earth (although I can’t remember what!)
Another socket and ready with the meter I think!

Thanks electrofix, I partially dismantled the unit and wondered if the pump motor capacitor was leaking to earth so removed it from its bracket, insulated it’s case and ran the machine from another socket.
Ran fine right up to the very moment it switches itself off, then it puts the ELCB out!
Seems like the whole top case hinges back giving access to all that is beneath but I am reluctant to do this as it would appear to disturb some large gaskets/seals, and at present it doesn’t leak.
Got to be something simple, a circuit diagram/schematic/service manual would be worth its weight in gold – any ideas where from?
