Having a nightmare with my dishwasher, once it’s powered on the drain pump runs continuously then the machine emits three beeps with one of the LED’s flashing also.

Have read a lot about this anti flood device that seems to be causing the machine to produce this error and how people just tilt to reset etc.

Seeing as I have pretty good access to it, I dragged it out, and removed pretty much everything from the base of the unit. Motor, hydraulic system, softener/cassette etc. Drained and cleaned everything (not that there was any visable gunk or grime anywhere) and ensured it was dry before putting it back in.Tested the Float Switch at the bottom of the machine multimeter and seemed to function fine, replaced it anyway. I have also replaced the Inlet hose with attached valve and the Pressure Switch but still the problem persits. There’s no water left in the system but the drain pump keep whirring away. Has me wondering what else to signal this pump to keep running? Any help appreciated as it seems I’ve exhausted what I can test. Comfortable enough fitting the parts if only I knew what it needed!

Video of the problem can be seen here, thanks in advance!

the pump is controlled by the pcb. the switch that controls the pump is called a triac

this may have gone faulty but you would need electronics knowledge to check and change if necessary

    Thanks for your response!

Looks like I’m going to have to call in the pros then from what I read.

Hypothetically speaking, if it was one of these Triac switches causing the issues would these be replaceable or would it be a whole new PCB jobby?

    Cheers again

that depends on the level of engineer competence
if it were me yes can do it ( only some engineers can go to component level on the boards)

you could have a word with http://www.qer.biz/servReps.htm and see if they have a way to check and repair if the triac is faulty

if it was the manufacturers agent no complete board only

I had this same issue – same model and three beeps. This indicated the flood sensor guard was activated. On some forums people are recommending removing and tilting the dishwasher. In my case I switched off the power and removed the front access panel below the door with the dishwasher in place. It was the case that there was water in the tray at the base and I could see the polystyrene mounted flood sensor was floating up. Simply drying this tray with a towel and flexing the sensor resolved the problem. Perhaps this might save a few others unmounting the dishwasher.

some but not all these dishwasher are subject to a modification of the pressure circuit to prevent overflows
