In the past month 3 of my kitchen appliances have broken. So I am in desperate need of advice for buying a new washing machine, condenser dryer and built in/under oven. The washing machine was a cheap beko which only lasted 18 months (drum went after 8 months and got replaced under guarantee) and now it only washes in cold water. I wash about 10-15 loads a week. The cooker was also a beko and although cooked bit unevenly was broken by accident when moving it (door smashed off and fan was making funny noise) and then my dryer which i got second hand of a relative and was at least 8 years old finally called it quits. Drum still rotates but doesn’t dry the clothes. Sadly, to say at the moment I have no cash to replace these and will have to put them on credit card so I want to keep cost pretty low. However, I want something that will last longer than 18 bloody months. First, i was looking at mid-range thinking they would be better but more I read about brands etc the more uncertain I became on what I would actually be buying. So i thought buy cheaper and get extended guarantee but then started reading about problems with repairs, parts and customer service etc. So now i am at a total loss on what is a decent model and most reliable brand to buy. Obviously Miele is way out of my budget so any advice on the reliable models for all 3 would be appreciated.

I would go with the Sharp washing machine have a five year warranty, price is reasonable and are available from most independents.

Oven built under/ built in but then you say cooker that’s three different product ranges so which one? Sharp may be able to help depending on your requirements.
Condenser dryer take a look at the White Knight WKB96M8WR good reliable brand and cheaper spares later on if needed.

hi thanks for quick reply. the oven was in a big larder unit and can be built in (if it goes back in there) or built under where dryer used to go. Depends which is the better model. only reason I not buying same oven again is because the washing machine was beko and it has put me off. would prefer it built in though but definitely all about reliability this time around so which ever is better.

If you are after a single built in oven then take a look at the Sharp especially as they have a five year warranty. For a double oven take a look at the Beko range. Built under doubles are low volume with a higher price tag and two small cavities.

thank you so much, got the sharp washing machine, beko cooker and white knight dryer, wish i had come on here last week and saved myself loads of time and hassle trying to find out which was the most reliable and value for money.
