Customer initially said the detergent drawer lid spring was faulty.

Called and could find nothing wrong with spring or lid. She then said that sometimes the drawer doesn’t open during cycle, it releases perfectly with the little blue latch.

Is this likely to be cured by replacing the whole dispenser assy or is anything else a possible cause?

    Jim.

NB. The STORE needs editing, THIS part is listed as being over £61 when in fact it is actually under £47 on the Bosch web site. 😉

In my experience the actuator for the dispenser tends to die, it is heat expansion type instead of the normal solenoid and can be bought separately under part no 166635.

Considering the large number of Hotpoint clones I used to see I can’t say I have had much trouble with these dispensers other than the small spring TBH.

May changed one of those wax actuators but it would be over 20 years ago. 🙂

    Thanks for reply.

I’ll be honest, I’ve swapped quite a few of these. I dont even bother to try and repair them. Qualtex and connect have non gen versions which are identical to the original for £11.00 QUADWP01
