Smeg Dishwasher odd fault D1612CA

Hi, I hope somebody can help with any idea what is going on with this appliance.

I attended to a non-washing fault. The impellor had become unscrewed on the wash motor shaft. I refitted it and then found the capacitor had failed.

I replaced the capacitor and everything seemed ok. Job done and dusted I thought.

I have now had a recall. Appliance is washing well, heating, etc, but complaint relates to reduced drying performance.

I ran a glasses prog and noticed that at the and of the wash cycle, there is a pause, then some bubbling sounds after about 5-10 mins. The bubbling sounds to me as if the heater is on and boiling the water in the heater without anything else running.

It eventually moves on to finish.

An error code has been reported 1st 2 lights and end light which seems to be a heater related fault.

The machine is otherwise working ok and cleaning. The only thing I can think of is that I replaced the capacitor with a differently rated one (can’t remember what but probably a 6 replacing an 8 mfd.

Any ideas?
