Dampers – is a bit of free play normal?

    I’m trying to work out why my Bosch is banging around when it spins (WAS32461GB).

    I’ve got the dampers out and I can’t tell if they’re ok. There’s about 5mm of play before any resistance kicks in. Are they meant to have this, or should there be damping even on the initial movement?

    There should be no free movement whatsoever.

    Thanks Martin, better change them then. Shame the third one is inaccessible at the front!

    I would assume cost of shocks are each but picture shows 3 so its best to check. also ask about price as Bosch gen site is slightly cheaper
