I have a Hotpoint TVF770 which now does not seem to be drying properly.

When i take clothes out they seem to be a bit damp especially things like socks or heavy items.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what the problem is likely to be and where i should start checking please

As your machine is included in the Hotpoint Safety Recall can you firstly confirm that is has been completed?

If NOT click the link below for further info….

Common causes of poor performance, blocked filters, blocked or badly crushed or kinked rear vent hose, outlet vent on wall outside blocked, heater not working.

    Thanks for the reply.

The door filter is clean, the vent hose / pipe is nice and straight and the outlet vent working fine.(I can shine a torch right down to the tumbler).

The air coming out is warmish but i’m not sure how warm it should be.

    Hi

Just a thought, your machine is a sensor dryer for it to work it needs to be in a room above 15 degrees C. If it’s in an out house, shed or garage it probably won’t function correctly.

Have you tried it on the timed option?
