    actually it not only shuts down on its own but it trips the circuit breaker therefore shutting down everything else on the circuit, it doesnt blow the fuse on the plug and after switching the circuit breaker back on, the hotpoint will start again but will exhibit the same problem soon after and trips the circuit breaker again

    i hope i’ve described it alright and gave you an idea of the problem, sorry about my poor english

    It sounds motor related to me this one, possibly the brushes arcing.

    Pull the plug before looking please :zap:
