ParticipantHi,
Seem to have a problem with my integrated washing machine.
I’ve put it into test mode and this is what happens…
The lights all flash across for a few seconds. Then it sounds as though the pump runs for 2-3 seconds, then everything stops. The red service light lights up solid, not flashing. The Wash and Rinse lights light up green solid, not flashing. And the Start button flashes green.
I’ve tried a few power resets and drains and checked the hoses and pump filter but not sure what to try next. It does the same as the above when I try to start any of the usual cycles as well.
Any help would be very much appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Ash

This is what happens after about 10 seconds after putting it into Test mode.
Also the Start button is flashing green. All the other lights are on solid and not flashing.

Would a heater fault flag up that early in it’s checks? The washer doesn’t even get to the point of allowing any water into it, it literally flashes a couple of lights and then cuts out as above. If you still think it’s the element I’ll strip it out tonight and test it and the sensor.
Cheers for the help so far.

Ok I’ve just had the front off to check the heater.
Connections on the heater are all tight and in tact. Getting a resistance reading of 28ohms on the heater element and 17k ohms on the sensor.

could be a heater earth fault. a lot of electronic boards are put off by slight earth faults. not enough to blow the house trip
you would need to test insulation to earth

How would I do That? Where am I placing my multimeter probes and what reading am I looking to Get?
Thanks for your help so far, much appreciated.

remove both wire to the heater. set multimeter on the highest scale. put `1 probe on the heater terminal and the other on earth
what you looking for is a high reading of about 15million ohms or above
the only flaw in this is the meter you are using uses a 9v battery to measure. An insulation tester uses 500v to test so its possible for the multimeter to give an ok reading but the heater is still faulty
also have you checked wires from heater to timer in case of breaks

31.5 million resistance reading.
I’ve checked all the cables from the heater back to the control board and all appear to be sound and connections tight. Everything inside still looks new, nothing burnt or rusting.Could it be a control board fault? And if so is there any way of testing That?
