I have to replace the inner door glass 00680636 of the above oven.
When changing this is it advisable to replace the fibre seal 0061243 at the same time?

Only time I have had to change a Bosch pyro inner over glass, was when they were cracked and were a result of using one of those shop bought oven cleaners.
The new glass had written instructions in with it saying never to use them on the glass.

Did you need to replace the fibre seal when you did this.

Not come across the problem with the cleaner but worth noting. The customer sent a picture of the broken glass and I would assume it wasn’t caused by any cleaner.

Only replaced the seal when they are badly frayed or holed.
The glasses were cracked with long cracks, not hazed like a normal inner door glass. Since they were both side by side in the same kitchen ( different fd’s) and had the same chemicals used on them it had to be the oven cleaners used. They changed their cleaning regime and no repeat.
As I said though, the replacement glasses had official note inside saying no chemicals should be used on them other than normal soapy water.

    Thanks for the info.
I will advise the owner when I fit the new glass.
