ParticipantMy isa 10 is 7 years old. Has developed a leak at the front left hand side and now shorts the electrics, so unusable. The guy we bought it from no longer works for ise so I’m wanting to know who I can get to look at it as it’s still under warranty? I’m in South Yorkshire. .

Sadly ISE went out of business a couple of years ago.
You may be able to find an engineer if you use the Search/Find an Engineer button at the top of the page, however any repairs will be not be done under warranty. 🙁

Hi
I have the parts in stock if needed and I do know of an engineer that could do a visit but it would be on a chargeable basis.

It’s the heating element that’s gone. The only thing is that I don’t know if that blowing has also done for the computer bit of the machine? The engineer who came condemned it saying he couldn’t get the parts. If I can get a compatible heating element, it might just be worth giving it a go. Everything else about it looks sound.

Still listed HERE
Given the price I would suggest it is worth a punt, If you disconnect the wires to the heater and see if the lights come on the control panel that would point to the pcb being undamaged.
Leak from front left can be due to high water pressure and failure to remove the detergent drawer and clean out the soap dispenser aperture on a regular basis.January 18, 2018 at 10:20 pm #453157TCTAYLOR

ParticipantISE10 heating element wont budge
I was pleased to be able to get a new heating element for my ISE10 but now the old one wont come out. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. It’s disconnected, just seems stuck.

Have you removed the small nut securing the heater plate?
Sometimes unscrewing this nut until it is at the very end of the threaded shaft and then tapping that shaft and nut back into the drum helps. Failing that then it is just a matter of perseverance with a flat bladed screwdriver to prise out the rubber grommet. TBH this heater is by far one of the easiest I have ever had to remove compared to some, especially those with plastic drums.

OK so I have changed the element but the machine has tripped the electrics again near the end of the cycle. Do I just admit defeat? What else could it be?

Hi
It could be a thermistor or a leak. if asked I wouldn’t have mentioned a heater given the fault you have just mentioned.

Thanks Bryan, it was the engineer who came that said it was the heating element that had gone so I was just taking it from there since he said he couldn’t get the part.

ParticipantISE10 tripping the electrics
My ISE10 washer is tripping the electrics as soon as it is switched on. An engineer came and said it was the heating element but he couldn’t get one. I’ve changed that but after one wash it has tripped the electrics again at the end of the cycle and now does as soon as it is switched on. Do I change the thermistor? Or could it be something else altogether, requiring a new machine?

if it is now tripping as soon as you turn on then if you disconnect the affected part it will stop
so if you think its the thermistor, disconnect it and it wont trip if that is faulty
