Can someone please confirm the part number for the defrost heater for this marvel of Chinese engineering. Normal two tag with additional tag for an earth. I’ve jst seen the price of the defrost timer £50!! . It’s a good job the customer has circa 30-40 year old Swedish made Electrolux twin pot fridge/freezer in the garage. They turned it on yesterday and it fired up..TIA

After speaking to Glen Dimplex it’s not good news. The defrost heater is not available on it’s own. It only comes as part of the evaporator. A quick £262.48 – er no thanks.
Okay, we’ll send an engeinner to come and do it £145.00..Aparently it’s integral to the evaporator but it looks like any other heater that. I appreciate some you can only change with an evaporator change.
So the customer is now going to be £200 (including my fee) to fix a 3-4 yo fridge freezer that costs less than £300.00 new… and count to 10…breath….. You can’t help some people.
