Bosch classixx fridge freezer lights flash, freezer not cooling (as per ChrisX post post456464.html#p456447)
I added the info on that thread but unsure that’s correct, so putting it as new topic with link.
Current status is that after playing with on/off and opening and closing doors, I now have the fridge cooling, as long as the freezer door is propped open about 5cm. With freezer door shut the flashing lights and clunking resume. Freezer is not even trying to cool.
I also notice the freezer door is resisting sealing shut (maybe as not cooling?)
Assistance greatly appreciated!

Update again: after another overnight with the freezer door open and no attempt from freezer to cool(but fridge working), I pushed the freezer door shut yesterday ” on spec” and to my amazement the clunking did not resume. Freezer sat very warm for a number of further hours then after one of my periodic door-open checks, it started to cool. Red warning light stayed on. It stayed on until today, when I pressed the “super” button “just because…”
So I was back to green lights and cool fridge and freezer BUT… the fridge fan stopped working !. No action with door either closed or open. A couple of hours later it has restarted normal function all on its own!
I now have a normally functioning appliance.. apparently. But since this whole saga reads like “Freddy the Freezer Got ILL but then Felt Better” i have little faith in Freddy’s recovery and I’d still really appreciate an expert opinion on the cause of this random behaviour (PCB fault?) and advice on fixing, should this repeat itself. Many thanks.
