    Hi All
I am struggling to find a mid range reasonably price fridge freezer to replace my old bosch. According to this forum all makes have issues. I have realised that spend mega money you get rubbish. Spend little you get rubbish. Can some appliance engineer(s) recommend a good brand. This time preference is low frost model. Thank you in advance.

These forums sing the praises of Liebherr.

If you want a mid range price Gorenje are good and most models come with a five year manufacturing guarantee.

It’s the luck of the draw with any manufacturer as you can get problems with any fridge freezer now as more have moved away from simple systems and a lot more to go wrong.

I have worked on and repaired nearly every model out there and the build quality of Gorenje is good value for a mid range fridge freezer.

AEG are part of the Electrolux group and some models are identical but the Aeg are normally higher retail price.

It’s strange but the AEG seam to give less problems than the identical Electrolux models and the quality of build seams better.

BEKO are good value now and spares are cheap compared to any other manufacturer if you get any problems.l

At the end of the day it’s about whatever model or manufacturer design of fridge suits your needs for storage and looks.

And the value of any offers at the time you are purchasing.

    Thanks All
I agree with your advice. Days of customer service from point of sale to product reliability long gone. I am going to settle for mid range in the 60/30 split which is offered more. I will post what make and model I buy.
