ParticipantMy SMEG TR4110BL (3 eclectric oven and gas stove on top) one isn’t worked
Fan is on but no heating so,we suspected it might be an element.
So,purchased the new element and changed
Suprisingly still not heating
So,what else should I look through?
Fan on,light on but no heating
Thank you

behind the knob on the control panel is a multibank switch
like https://shop.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/8117303 … rol-switch
if the heating contact is broken it will do everything except heat
look at it and check for burnt out contacts. if it needs replacing do not assume above is correct one its just an illustration

Thank Dave!
Will check it out in the morning
Just ask apologizes if it sounds silly
Each oven supposed to have one element? I removed the fan cover and found nothing so,supposed to be one (which is the top for our SMEG)
Thank you

An oven can work in 2 ways
one single element at the rear with a fan in the centre
or
2 elements one in the grill position and another under the floor. They sometimes use this system and add a fan at the back as wellDave

I quickly checked on smeg site http://www.smeguk.com/smeg_uk/docs/prod … 4110BL.pdf
And found that there’s supposed to have lower element as well but honestly we dont know where/how to remove it. I don’t really see any parts which looks removable at the bottom at all. Or it is actually under the oven?
Do you have any idea? Many Thanks

its under the floor but needs to be removed from the back
but lets step back a bit. you have 2 elements and you say you have no heat. it is unlikely both elements fail at once so I would look elsewhere at first unless the oven has had heating problems for a while

One more thing
The rest of the oven are working fine so,do you think it is about lower/bottom element?
It is just big work to do as our SMEG is on free standing and basically built-in 🙁

Will look at the control panel multibank switch first and if everything seems fine I think I might have to look onto the lower element.
Honestly like I said at first I bought the top element to change and still no heat,so basically must be some other problem as the top element has already changed but still no heat

if the bottom element was blown the top one would still work and vice versa

yes that’s the stat. the tube (which is not removable ) is oil filled and goes into the oven to sense temperature.
its the switch in front of the stat that may be faulty
the stat might also be faulty but if you have a multimeter you should gat a reading between the 2 terminals
