My Siemens (8 years old) needs replacing, the bearings have gone.
This has put me off purchasing another Siemens or Bosch because I thought it would have lasted longer.

Do I buy cheap & replace more often or do I check out Miele, in the hope it lasts longer than the Siemens?

Family of 4 – I do about 5 loads a week, sometimes more.

The only issue I have with cheap washers is do they clean as well as the expensive brands? The Siemens done an incredible job of getting rid of stains (tomato based stains, curry, grass stains, the lot). I have 2 children who produce lots of stained clothing…..

    Thank you

    Hi

With that weekly workload which is about twice normal use I would go with the Miele you refer to in your other thread which I believe is the WDD030 with the ten year warranty.

You will buy probably three budget end machines or one and a half Siemens in that 10 years which makes the Miele good value.

Just check out the warranty 😉

Thank you for the advice Don.

Yes, thats the one! WDD030 has got a free 10 year guarantee promotion. I am going to check it out tomorrow at my local showroom.

I will stick with German & investigate the warranty further.

I checked out the Miele on Saturday & ordered it. The 10 year guarantee is a no brainer!

Design isn’t Miele’s priority! The W1 Classic Range is very basic looking! That doesn’t bother me as I need a machine thats reliable & an excellent stain remover. I hope it lives up to my expectations.

They done a price match too, happy days! It arrives on Wednesday.

It’s a shame to leave my Siemens out for the scrap man so its on eBay as spares/repair. Got a bid on it already!
