    Is there a magic combination of buttons to press to stop my new Hotpoint washer/dryer (WDXD8640P) beeping all the time? Loud beep when it starts, louder sequence of beeps when it’s done, all very annoying for nightime runs.

    Press and hold the CHILD LOCK button for 2 seconds.

    Holding Child Lock for two seconds turns on child lock (pressing and releasing straight away doesn’t do anything).
